Buying Local & Handmade for the Holidays, what could be better?



It's that time of year again for my annual open studio sale. I so enjoy this show! I invite some of my super artsy crafty friends to join me and I get to hang out with cool artists, do my holiday shopping, eat yummy food, enjoy a little adult beverage and socialize. Ornaments 2010

Just a few of the ornaments I have been working on this holiday season. I am particularly in love with these little balls of joy! Starfish, rocks, birds and trees are all in the line up. Been having some serious Holiday fun.

Heading to Ellsworth

I am busy this morning getting all packed & ready for The Gifted Hand show in Ellsworth this Friday & Saturday. If you are in the area, swing by you will not be dissapointed. This is a fabulous show with lots of talented folks. I cannot wait to do a little holiday shopping myself! Hope to see you.

Busy as a bee

It is that time of year. Prepping for all the Holiday shows, printing PureArtCard orders, basketball, swimming, lacrosse tournaments, school meetings. Seems like every day is full beyond possibility. So I need a gentle reminder now and again to stop, and enjoy the moments. I thank my 2 fabulous children and very cute hubby for keeping me in check. Busy on, but enjoy, I mean really enjoy your day!

Beautiful

I planted this shrub about 3 years ago when we finished building our home. Every year my husband says "we should pull this, it's dead". Every year I say no, and every year these fabulously, beautiful purple berries show up, pretty glorious I think. I have no idea what this is called, but Ii am in LOVE with it.

Love Fall

Never at a loss for things to do in the fall. Last weeks Common Ground Fair was a treat. Saturday's weather was summer like, after a chilly Friday. So much to see, but I managed to see lots!








This weekend had me at the designing women show in Kennebunk. It was a lovely show with so many fantastic women with much talent. Lisa & Paula did an outstanding job, and all the customers seemed to be happy and in the Holiday shopping zone. I unfortunately am not that organized in my holiday shopping...I am pretty much a mid December shopper.
