Pillow prototype...a little more stuffing needed.

Any one who knows me well, knows I have had a long time love affair with burlap. Curtains, chair covers, book covers, you name it. I have all these great blocks that I've made and use for my clothing & artwork. I thought they would be perfect for some pillows & table runners. I just finished a prototype of a pillow and I'm kinda loving it, it is burlap after all. I do think it needs a wee bit more stuffing however. I am heading back to the table to make more!
These will be for sale soon in my Etsy shop.

Alphabet poster sketches

Here are some of the sketches I have been working on for an alphabet poster. I have a couple of each letter and need to decide which I like best...bird or boot? shoe or snail, quill or queen, egg or emu... I'll have to decide when all are colored & complete.

Finally

I received this Wacom tablet for Christmas in 2008 and I am just now getting in some play time. It is a fun, easy to use tool and I am kicking myself for not getting it out of the box sooner! So this is my very first drawing on it and I am excited for the possibilities.

Craft Hope for Haiti

Craft Hope for Haiti Shop Spreading seeds of hope one stitch at a time

If you are wondering how you might be able to help the people of Haiti, check out the Craft Hope for Haiti etsy store I have a few of my prints for sale there and 100% of the profits are going directly to Doctors Without Borders. This wonderful project is run by some very selfless women who have been working tirelessly around the clock to get all the donations listed. I am consistently amazed by the generosity of the art & craft community. As of 1/20/10 over $20,000.00 has been raised and over 1000 items sold...Amazing what a little art can do. Go to Craft Hope , read a little about the amazing women running this site then hop over to Craft Hope for Haiti to buy some original art for you if you are able and you will be helping the many who need our help in Haiti. Thanks so much for supporting such a worthy project.
